Food, cars, and housing - all these goods are often produced by private entities and traded on markets. However, some goods, like schooling, security, or clean oceans, cannot be easily bought. Why is this? What does each individual have to consider when consuming various types of goods? And what about the scope for regulation by the state? This workshop will playfully explain coordination problems in providing different kinds of goods.

With 22 professorships and approximately 2,400 students, we are one of eastern Germany's largest business and economics faculties. Our bachelor's, master's, and diplom programs cover the full breadth of the subject - from business education and management training to business administration, economics to business information systems and industrial engineering and management.
Our teaching and research are broadly based, interdisciplinary, and at the cutting edge of science. With our combination of social science and technology-oriented issues, we fit very well into the technical university TU Dresden profile.
A characteristic of all our study programs is that students enjoy ample flexibility and leeway. To mention a few examples: You can easily select and compose your specializations, spend a semester abroad without difficulties, or even switch between full- and part-time studies. These features set us apart from other locations.
Our program of today will surely give you an understanding of the diversity and attractiveness of the subject of economics in general and especially here at TU Dresden. Please take advantage of the information and contact opportunities we happily offer!
