Visual Cuing in Business Process Models (VisPro)

Visual cuing strategies are used in business process models to visually highlight those elements that are important for understanding. As  novices have problems in understanding the process flow of business process models, the process flow can be highlighted as in fig. 1 to help novices for a better understanding.

Within a dissertation project several visual cuing strategies are discussed and an extension is presented. This approach is already published and intermediate results were evaluated. Effects on the novices comprehension efficiency were found. Recently, a follow-up study is developed using eye-movements.
