With this funding guideline of the BMBF - "Inclusion by digital media in vocational education and training" - people with disabilities are to be supported by the innovative use of digital media in the learning and long-term pursuit of a professional activity.
The supported measures are intended to help digital media to be increasingly integrated into vocational education and training for the purpose of integrating disabled persons. To this end, innovative implementation scenarios are to be developed and tested in practice.
Concepts can be submitted to the following fields of action:
- Field of action 1: Digital information and support systems (e.g., as an app)
- Field of action 2: New career prospects through digital-based learning
- Field of Action 3: Common learning concepts for people with and without disabilities
All institutions that are active in the field of vocational education and training and / or questions that promote inclusion are eligible to apply.
The support is particularly aimed at alliances, consortia or networks. As a rule, only applications with corresponding partners are promoted in alliances. Research institutes and universities cannot act as main applicants or coordinators.
Staff, materials and travel as well as project-related investments that are not attributable to the applicant's basic equipment are eligible.
For companies in the commercial sector, eligible project-related costs can be financed up to a maximum of 50%. For universities, research and science institutions, up to 100% of these costs can be funded. A project flat-rate of 20% is also granted for research projects at universities.
The application procedure is two-stage. In the first step, project sketches are to be submitted. Two submission deadlines are foreseen: March 31, 2017 and July 15, 2017.
