Guideline ERANETMED published
On the 16th of June 2017, the BMBF published the guideline for funding of transnational research projects within the network (ERANET) ERANETMED.
The Aim of the grant is to expand the cooperation in research policy and to strengthen the political dialogue between the participants of the EU-Member States, the associated states and the Mediterranean partner countries. It must be possible for the researchers to work permanently together on research topics. Existing concepts of cooperation’s within bilateral funding programmes should – if useful - be combined.
Successful projects should improve the water management in fields like water saving, energy efficiency, reduction of water costs, sewage reuse and recycling to contribute to socio-economic growth and employment. Projects should contribute to sustainability and saving natural resources, stabilisation of rural and remote areas and containment of effects of climate change. Please give further attention to Inclusion of cross-cutting issues (Governance, IKT, Gender).
Applicants of multilateral research projects can receive funding from the following organisations:
- Algerien - Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique – Direction Générale de la Recherche Scientifique et du Développement Technologique (DG-RSDT)
- Ägypten - Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF)
- Deutschland - Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF)
- Frankreich - Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR)
- Italien - Ministero dell’ Istruzione, dell’ Università e della Ricerca (MUIR)
- Jordanien - Higher Council for Science and Technology (HCST)
- Libanon - Conseil National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS-L)
- Marokko - Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur, de la Recherche Scientifique et de la Formation des Cadres (MESRSFC)
- Portugal - Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia Ministério da Educação e Ciência (FCT)
- Spanien - Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad (MINECO)
- Tunesien - Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESRST)
- Türkei - The Scientific & Technological Research Council (TÜBITAK)
- Zypern - Research Promotion Foundation (RPF)
- Internationale Einrichtung - Centre International de Hautes Etudes Agronomiques Méditerranéennes, Bari, International Organisation (CIHEAM)
Project funding is possible up to 150.000 € for a project duration of 24 to 36 months.
For companies in the commercial sector, eligible project-related costs can be financed up to a maximum of 50%. For universities, research and science institutions, up to 100% of these costs can be funded. A project flat rate of 20% is also granted for research projects at universities.
