If you plan to accept "external funds" please get in contact with Directorate 5 of TU Dresden well in time. External funds are all monetary and non monetary advantages that are brought in from outside the university to achieve their functions.
The specific purpose to accept external funding has to be reported to the Rectorate PRIOR to acceptance.

Every university member, who is financed by the university budget, can be project manager. The project manager is responsible for all efforts and obligations to report. He is liable for all sanctions, which result from intent and gross negligence (Guideline for the application). However, he cannot sign legally binding for TU Dresden (only for himself)! For signatures legally binding TU Dresden in regard to research Directorate 5 needs to be involved in all cases.
