Welcome to the information page of the Equal Opportunities Officer of the Faculty of Education
The Board of Equal Opportunities represents and strives for equality characterized by equal, fair, and diversity-sensitive treatment of everybody regardless of their gender or gender identity. Discrimination based on gender cannot be examined without also looking at structural imbalances of power, other forms of discrimination, or dependencies resulting from scientific practice and employment. Equal opportunities is an intersectional and overarching issue.
TU Dresden is bound to ensure equal opportunities within the scientific community by the General Equal Treatment Act (AAG), the German Framework Act for Higher Education (German only), and the Saxony Higher Education Freedom Act (German only).
The purpose of the central and decentral Boards of Equal Opportunities is to ensure TU Dresden acts according to these regulations.
Further legal bases for the Equal Opportunities Officer include the Saxonian Equal Treatment Act (German only) as well as the university's Basic Regulations , Election Regulations (German only), and its Appointment Regulations. Furthermore, the university’s Faculty and School Regulations and the Equal Opportunities Strategy.
