Vanessa Kleine (M.A.)
My employer is Maximator Hydrogen GmbH, a company that specializes in the construction of hydrogen filling stations. Since our foundation in 2022, we have grown rapidly and operate in an innovative and relatively new industry. I work in Human Resources, where I am responsible for a wide range of tasks in recruiting and personnel marketing. I also oversee various marketing topics, such as organizing sales fairs and creating content for our social media channels. Overall, I find the balance between strategic concept development and operational processing to be optimal.
I see the opportunity to help shape the processes and structures of an ambitious, innovative company as an extremely enriching and inspiring experience.
The courses on organizational psychology and management concepts were particularly helpful in my day-to-day work. One of my first tasks was to create and conduct a company-wide employee survey. In doing so, I was able to draw on both research theory and subject-specific knowledge from the psychology lectures. I found the flexible study structure particularly helpful, which enabled me to work as a student trainee in the HR department beforehand. This experience gave me a huge advantage for my future career. As a result, the content taught on the degree program prepared me very well for a wide variety of situations in my current job.
Use the time during your Master's degree to gain practical experience as well as theoretical knowledge. The course of study and the course planning are ideal for an internship or working student job. In addition, I can only recommend that you take a look at the TU Dresden course directory to see which courses are offered outside the WBF/OEs in order to individualize your knowledge profile. Personally, I was impressed by the interdisciplinary nature of the degree program and it helped me to find the right field of work for me.
