International Programs at GSW
The international programs listed here enable students and young scientists to exchange ideas across borders and thus contribute to the excellent education of young scientists.

On that score, fundamental theoretical concepts are as important as concrete practical approaches of action.
The Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden, supported by TU Dresden and THE SCHAUFLER FOUNDATION, was initiated in 2019 with the aim of researching and communicating the complex relationship between man, machine, technology and the world from the perspectives of the social sciences, humanities and art. The Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden has been centre of the GSW since May 2021.
The two pillars of the project are a graduate college and an artist in residence programme.
- guiding theme of the first funding phase (2020-2023): "Artificial intelligence and social change"
-
three artists in residence accompany the work in the Lab per funding phase
-
the international artists are selected by a transnational advisory board of experts
Cooperation partners for artistic and creative productions include the Dresden University of Fine Arts, Ars Electronica Linz as well as HELLERAU – European Centre for the Arts.
The Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden will be supported by the Custody and the GSW Department as a central institution from May 2021. The spokespersons are Prof. Lutz M. Hagen (Chair of Political and Economic Communication) and Kirsten Vincenz (Custody).
