Information for International Students
Course Offerings for International Students
For students participating in international exchange programs, all courses from the regular curriculum of the Institute of Media and Communication are available. You can find a more general overview about studying and applying at TU Dresden on the pages of the International Office.
Credits and Exams
Students from partner universities are not required to complete all module exams. Instead, they can meet exam requirements individually and according to the formal subject requirements of their home university. The guidelines below apply to the awarding of ECTS for individual (or partial) examinations:
- Attendance, preparation, and follow-up of a course equivalent to 2 SWS (Semesterwochenstunden): 2 ECTS
- Oral examination or presentation: 3 ECTS
- Written exam: 3 ECTS
- Term paper or essay: 3-6 ECTS
Detailed information on ECTS can be found in this overview provided by the International Office.
Important Documents
Before the start of the Erasmus program, a Learning Agreement must be completed, in which students outline their study program at the partner university. Students receive the Learning Agreement from their home university. During their studies, if deviations from the original study plan occur, the relevant section of the Learning Agreement must be completed and submitted to the responsible ERASMUS coordinators for signature.
