ATTENTION: Information on the state examination can be found here.
The complete study and examination regulations for the History degree programs can be found on the pages of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science or at the Center for Teacher Education and Educational Research. The currently valid module descriptions can be found in the most recent statutes amending the study regulations. They list in detail which examinations are to be taken in the modules as well as the type of courses, number of credits or credit points and the workload in hours. In addition, each set of study regulations contains a study schedule, which is intended to help first-year students in particular to understand how a "timetable" can be structured. However, you can and should find your own way through the modules in the course of your studies. If you have any questions or problems, the student advisors will be happy to help you.
All information on the number of hours is given in semester hours per week (SWS). As a rule, a course comprises two SWS. An exception to this is the introductory proseminar or introductory seminar in the introductory modules of the respective degree programs, which each comprise four SWS. Practical seminars are a special form of teaching, which can vary in length. Please always refer to the comments in the course catalogs.
Please use the standardized cover sheet for written examinations in History, which you can download here as a PDF or Word file:
