Master's programme "European Languages"
The introduction for the Master European Languages will take place on Tuesday, 08.10.2024, 9 a.m., in Wiener Straße 48, room 0.04.
This is a programme in Linguistics; thus, its goal is the development and attainment of comprehensive linguistic knowledge and competency.
This Master’s Programme has been conceived in an interdisciplinary way. Our graduates thus distinguish themselves by having acquired, in the framework of Linguistics, particular competencies in the area of inter- and trans-disciplinary methodology.
Due to the flexible organization of the program, subject-specific emphases can be set and indicated on the degree certificate (English Studies/American Studies, Romance Studies, Slavic Studies, Classical Philology, German Studies or German as a Foreign and Second Language).
The program syllabus leaves a lot of room for individual tailoring. Our graduates are therefore skilled at taking on academic as well as practical coordinating assignments.
Innovative teaching and learning formats, e.g. peer colloquiums and workshops, foster the team skills of our graduates.
Internship components empower our graduates to autonomously plan and carry out their own projects.
The acquisition of an additional modern foreign language and the stay abroad boost our graduates’ intercultural competence.
