AQUA
In the area of general qualifications (AQua), students should primarily acquire interdisciplinary qualifications that are equally useful in their studies and careers. These skills are also referred to as "key qualifications". In its "Recommendations for the introduction of new study structures and degrees", the German Council of Science and Humanities cites the following examples of key qualifications: Communication and teamwork skills, presentation and moderation techniques, use of modern information technologies, intercultural skills and foreign language skills as well as the ability to condense and structure knowledge and information. According to the recommendations of the German Council of Science and Humanities and the German Rectors' Conference, the teaching of key qualifications should be given a significantly higher priority in the new tiered degree programs than in the previously common Magister and Diplom degree programs.
It is neither necessary nor possible to register for examinations in the AQUA modules via HISQIS or Selma.
The documentation of the AQua courses is done on a so-called AQua certificate, which you can print out on the respective pages of your Faculty (see link below). For the languages, the certificates are usually billed, which you can print out yourself via LSK-Online. Please note, however, that you must have these printouts confirmed by the LSK secretariat (see also the note at the bottom of the printout). The confirmation of the transcript of records is done by the academic advisor (Faculty of SLK) or the AQua representative (Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science) of the respective degree program. As soon as you have earned all the credits, have the collection certificate signed and then submit it to the Examination Office. The credits will then be credited to your grading account in Selma or HISQIS.
