Contents
This course comprises the introduction to User-Centered Design of interactive systems as well as the presentation of different concepts, such as task analysis, prototype construction and evaluation methodologies. Based on Fitts’ Law, that shows the relation of human hand-eye coordination, the development of new interaction techniques like computer mice is shown. Multiple software architectures, paradigms and tools for interactive systems will be compared. The Model-View-Controller Pattern is exemplarily presented with XForms. Different formal description approaches for interactive systems are shown. To illustrate the subject of Human-Computer Interaction, use cases such as pedestrian navigation by means of localization techniques or adaptive dialogue systems.
Language
We would like to inform that the lectures for this course will be conducted in German. The exercises, however, will be provided in English. For the examination, students will have the option to choose their preferred language—either German or English.
