Start of preparation
Plan your stay abroad at least one year in advance. In November/December there will be an information event at the Faculty of Computer Science. In addition, the International Office (AAA) offers general information events on studying abroad and internships.
Please note that language skills and especially technical language skills can be improved up to the application deadlines. In most cases, you will need to provide proof of language proficiency and sometimes a special language test (e.g. TOEFL test for English-speaking countries). Scholarship applications also ask for academic reasons and explanations of the study project as well as the naming of up to three possible universities. This assumes that you have sufficiently researched the study opportunities in your target country or at your target university.
Requirements for participation
- You are enrolled at TU Dresden as a student (including doctoral studies) and are completing a full course of study leading to a recognized degree.
- Nationality is irrelevant for the application. However, you cannot go to your home country with Erasmus.
- At least the first year of study must have been successfully completed (does not apply to Master's students).
- There is a valid bilateral ERASMUS agreement with the partner university for the relevant academic year and department
- Before the start of the stay abroad, the Learning Agreement is drawn up together with the responsible persons at the home and host universities.
- Sufficient knowledge of the language in which the courses to be attended are held must be available (recommended language level according to the European Framework of Reference: at least B1/B2, see recommendation of partner university).
