Future Classrooms - Multi-user Mixed Reality for Education
Multi-user Mixed Reality (MUMR) holds great potential for teaching and learning in many domains. But what are the most effective teaching experiences, formats and pedagogical techniques for this emerging technology? What kinds of interfaces and interactions are needed, or are most effective? What new possibilities do the technologies facilitate? and what are the biggest challenges and impediments?
The project contributes to the ongoing discourse of identifying the educational potential of MR technologies and provides insights for educators, researchers and developers interested in integrating MR into educational settings.
Through a series of case studies developed in close collaboration with educators working in a variety of domains, the project aims to develop and evaluate novel Multi-User Mixed Reality based educational practices.
