Otto Hänsel Foundation
In 1911, Otto Hänsel Sr. founded a company rich in tradition in process technology and packaging machine construction for the confectionery industry, based in Dresden-Freital from 1919. His son Otto Hänsel continued this tradition after World War 2 in West Germany.
To promote young talent in the field of processing and packaging machine engineering, Otto Hänsel established a foundation in 2001 at the Technische Universität Dresden, which awards prizes each year for outstanding student research projects.
