FERBLEND - Fermentation-induced valorization of side stream blends from oilseed and dairy industry

FERBLEND is a SUSFOOD ERA-Net and Core Organic research project under the topic Topic 1: Resource-efficient, circular and zero-waste food systems in the SF-CO Joint Call. The project runs from October 2020 to Septmber 2023 and includes 6 partners from European countries.
Project goals
This project aims at improving process sustainability in cold pressed seed oil facilities and artisanal cheese plants by developing a novel solution through the blending of side streams, hereby creating an adaptable group of products to be used in various foods, a platform that concomitantly would reduce waste.
Project partners
This project proposal brings together the competencies of four partners from Denmark, Germany, Italy and Poland who request funding. Two institutes from Spain and Turkey, not eligible for funding, offered to contribute to the project.

Dissemination of project results will result in publications and presentations at conferences.
