Measurement data service

The Faculty offers the central interface for the access to the measurement data of our analytical departments with the measurement data service. Since 2011 the further step-by-step consolidation of the storage, access control and the backup of all of the relevant data across teams within the larger organization takes place. With the ongoing project “measurement data storage” the basis for the long-term storage should be set in accordance with the appropriate guidelines for the good scientific practice.

Currently, the following access variants are possible:

• attachment as a network drive in the data network of the Faculty with Novell client and user ID in directory service of faculty
• web access through Netstorage: with user ID in directory service of faculty, also possible worldwide when using the area VPN
• file transfer: as a member of the corresponding right group in directory service of faculty, from the faculty network
• SSH file transfer: as a member of the corresponding rights group in the faculty's directory service, also possible worldwide when using the area VPN
