The online application for the Advancement Scholarship – the Study Grant for Experienced Professionals – is now open again. Prospective students and students can apply for an Advancement Scholarship until December 2, 2024.

The scholarship program of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research supports skilled workers with vocational training and several years of practical experience in their first academic university studies. Detailed information can be found at https://www.sbb-stipendien.de/aufstiegsstipendium.

Funding

On September 1, the funding for scholarship holders in the advancement scholarship program was increased: In future, they will receive 992 euros per month for full-time studies (previously 934 euros) plus 80 euros book allowance (i.e. a total of 1,072 euros) and 3,045 euros per calendar year for part-time studies (previously 2,900 euros). The benefits are a lump sum and independent of income.

Applications are possible before the start of the course and up to the end of the second semester. There is no age limit for applications.
