Damaskus Room - guided tour of the restauration workshop
Once the Japanese Palais in Dresden was housing the Dresden university library. Nowadays, you can marvel at objects and stories from all over the world in the Ethnographical Museum. A very special treasure is the so called „Damaskus Room”. It consists of a complete wall and ceiling ornament originally from an elegant town house in Syria from the 19th century. At the moment it is being restored and on Sunday, June 4th 2017, we will take you to the restauration workshop.
Afterwards we can join the Syrian musicians that bring their instruments or check out another exhibition of the museum, that day.
