The ServiceCenterStudies (SCS) is the central point of contact for all questions regarding studies at TU Dresden. We provide information on the application process and enrolment, as well as on offers for study orientation and, if necessary, directly refer you to other services and advice centres. Our members are students, committed to competently take care of your concerns.

Counseling for Choosing a Study Programme
What are my interests and talents? How do I picture my future profession? Which courses suit me best? The choice is a long and often difficult process. In order to orientate and find the appropriate study path, the Central Student Information and Counseling Service (Zentrale Studienberatung) supports all prospective students with counselling, information and projects.

International applicants
For international students, much is new and especially different in comparison to their home countries. The International Office informs you about required language qualifications, accepted high school diplomas for the enrolment, available scholarship programmes and answers further questions about studying in Germany.

Studying without high school diploma (Abitur)
If you have undergone vocational training and would like to study at TU Dresden without a high school diploma, there are several ways. In an individual consultation with the Central Student Information and Counseling Service (Zentrale Studienberatung), you can ask questions regarding studies, learn about the challenges of everyday life at the university and evaluate your options.

If you are health impaired (disability or chronic illness), often specific questions and topics arise during the decision to study, the planning of studies and the preparation. Numerous support and counselling services are available for you in order to assure equal participation in the studies at TU Dresden.

Studying with children and/or dependent family members requires strenght, good time-management and the courage to set priorities. Since 2007, TU Dresden has been certified as a family-friendly university. We are glad to support you with numerous counselling and service offers, in order for you to reconcile your academic life with your family.
