Counseling and Service
Whether you have questions about choosing or deciding on a course of study, have specific questions about studying with an impairment, want to combine your studies with family responsibilities, or are planning to study at the TUD as an international student - this will provide an overview of suitable services and opportunities for counselling for all stages of your studies. Counseling for Choosing a Study Program
What are my interests and talents? How do I picture my future profession? Which courses suit me best? The choice is a long and often difficult process. In order to orientate and find the appropriate study path, the Central Student Information and Counseling Service (Zentrale Studienberatung) supports all prospective students with counselling, information and projects.

Is there an NC for my course of study? By when do I have to apply? What are the requirements for my desired degree program? The Admissions Office provides information on application, admission requirements, admission and enrollment.

International applicants
For international students, much is new and especially different in comparison to their home countries. The International Office informs you about required language qualifications, accepted high school diplomas for the enrolment, available scholarship programs and answers further questions about studying in Germany.

Studying without high school diploma (Abitur)
If you have undergone vocational training and would like to study at TU Dresden without a high school diploma, there are several ways. In an individual consultation with the Central Student Information and Counseling Service (Zentrale Studienberatung), you can ask questions regarding studies, learn about the challenges of everyday life at the university and evaluate your options.

If you are health impaired (disability or chronic illness), often specific questions and topics arise during the decision to study, the planning of studies and the preparation. Numerous support and counselling services are available for you in order to assure equal participation in the studies at TU Dresden.

Since 2007, TU Dresden has been certified as a family-friendly university. The ServiceCenterStudies (SCS) is the central clearingpoint of contact for all questions regarding studies at TU Dresden. We provide information on the application process and enrolment, as well as on offers for study orientation and, if necessary, directly refer you to other services and advice centres. Our members are students, committed to competently take care of your concerns.
