The environmental management system of TU Dresden (EMAS) is evaluated and checked by external auditors this year. The three-day audit will take place from 3 - 5 December 2018. 

The campus of TU Dresden as well as university facilities in Tharandt, the Faculty of Medicine and the Botanical Garden will be inspected by the auditors of KPMG Cert GmbH Umweltgutachterorganisation. There will be interviews with the rector as well as with responsible staff of other central facilities of TU Dresden. Subject of the audit will be the assessment of how environmental topics are integrated into studies, research and the operation of TU Dresden. The audit will also address which chances and risks regarding the environment do exist at the university.

Since 2003 the TU Dresden operates an environmental management system according to EMAS. The environmental report for 2018 including recent indicators and the environmental programme for 2019 will be published in spring 2019.
