On 02. and 3.12. the annual surveillance audit for the EMAS environmental management of the TU Dresden took place. The experts of KPMG Cert GmbH Umweltgutachterorganisation certify that the TU Dresden continues to have a well functioning environmental management system. They were particularly impressed by the many activities and projects on topics such as mobility, campus design and waste avoidance. This year's on-site inspections focused on the central campus of the TU Dresden and the medical faculty. Talks also took place with the university management and central institutions of the TU Dresden. Since 2003, the TU Dresden has been the first Technical University in Germany to have an environmental management system in accordance with the EC Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS). The environmental report for this year with the current key figures and the environmental programme for 2020 will be published in January next year.
