Energy
Table of contents
The tense situation on the energy markets since the start of the Russian invasion in the Ukraine has led to a noticeable rise in electricity and heating costs for all of us. Every member and we as the TUD community can do a lot ourselves to save energy, reduce costs and thus also contribute to climate protection.
TU Dresden is doing its share to save energy with various measures. In the 2022/23 heating season, e.g. the regulation on securing short term energy supply was implemented. However, the top priority was to maintain teaching and research to the greatest possible extent and, in particular, to ensure face-to-face teaching. Based on the detailed evaluation of 29 representative building complexes, around 19% less district heating was required in the 2022/23 heating season compared to previous years.
With climate protection in mind, we would like to continue to encourage you to use energy efficiently. Tips on saving energy and further information on legal regulations and energy use at TU Dresden can be found on this website.
