Mobility concept for the main campus of the TU Dresden published
With the publication of the second part of the mobility concept, another conceptually important task for a sustainable campus design has been completed.
The development of a mobility concept for the main campus of the TU Dresden fits into the master plan campus design developed in 2019. The traffic and mobility-related requirements are thus linked with the urban planning and design requirements on the campus.
Analyses, goals and participation formats are comprehensively presented in the first part of the mobility concept and enable a holistic view of the mobility situation on the main campus. A technically-oriented concept development with solution approaches and recommendations for action follows as the second part. The mobility concept thus forms the basis for the implementation of targeted measures and provides concrete scope for action for future campus design and mobility development at the university.
The mobility concept can be downloaded as a two-part brochure from the mobility portal.
Furthermore, the results of the mobility survey of 2022 as well as information on sustainable forms of mobility and measures on campus and in the city of Dresden are published on the mobility portal .
The mobility concept was developed at the Chair of Integrated Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Science "Friedrich List" by PD Dr.-Ing. habil. Rico Wittwer and Dipl.-Ing. Florian Schönherr, under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Regine Gerike and in cooperation with Directorate 4 - Facility Management of the TU Dresden.
