20th Dresden Science Night
Science after hours
On June 30 more inquisitive minds than ever before flocked to the TUD campus, which opened its doors for the 20th Dresden Science Night. Young and old alike experienced a wide range of research first-hand – whether in a beer garden, underground, in nuclear reactors, with VR glasses, in workshops, or during a live podcast.
With the Science Slam in the Audimax this year's anniversary edition of the Long Night of the Sciences came to a crowning conclusion. With this format, the Diversity Management Department of the TU Dresden not only wants to inspire enthusiasm for the diversity of science, but also to put female scientists in the spotlight.
This year's seven participants from different research areas and scientific organizations had to present their own research topic to the audience in a clear, easy to understand and engaging way within ten minutes. In the end, Bhargavi Karna from Helmholtz Zentrum München won the audience vote.
