TU Dresden researchers to be honored with three out of four Dresden Excellence Award on March 11, 2023. The prize is awarded annually in recognition of excellent research and outstanding final theses. Dr. Thomas Kämpfe is awarded EUR 12,000 for his habilitation thesis "Electron Devices Based on Ferroelectric Hafnium Oxide Thin Films". Dr. Felix Lansing is awarded EUR 9,000 for his doctoral thesis "How novel gene scalpels revolutionize gene therapy - Directed evolution of site-specific recombinases for precise genome editing and rearrangement". Carsten Albert wins the Dresden Excellence Award endowed with EUR 6,000 for his state examination thesis "Development of a guideline for the creation of accompanying texts with interpretation aids for exhibits on quantum mechanics".
