Science is international
Open-mindedness, curiosity, cultural diversity and
international cooperation are the basis for good education,
good science and prosperity - in Dresden, in Saxony, in Europe
and worldwide. TU Dresden university thrives on this dialogue
with researchers from around the world and our local
collaboration with international colleagues. On-campus, we are
one big family of 50,000 people studying, teaching, researching
and working together in peace and harmony.
We are fully committed to this both as a scientific community
and as citizens of Dresden. We promote this positive
interaction between cultures and people from different
backgrounds and strongly oppose all who proclaim or practise
intolerance, racism, discrimination, hatred and violence.
Especially if – as has recently happened – a member of our
Student Council and his family receive serious threats via
anonymous phone calls, text messages and emails, we must all
endeavour to re-emphasise this commitment.
