National Architecture Day on June 24: Guided tour of the Fritz Foerster Building
On June 24, TU Dresden’s Fritz Foerster Building will open its doors to visitors as part of National Architecture Day, which is being organized by the Federal Chamber of German Architects this coming weekend. As the building owner, the Saxon Real Estate and Building Management Operations (SIB) extends an open invitation to a guided tour, beginning at 9:00 am.
This building complex, which is subject to historical preservation laws, was designed by architect Martin Dülfer. The impressive brick building was built between 1922 and 1926 for the Neues Technisches Institut at what was then known as Technische Hochschule Dresden.
The Fritz Foerster Building underwent a complete renovation that began in 2014. Since the beginning of this year, it has been used as a prestigious administrative building located in the heart of the campus
