Using the slogan “Excellence! Together – with you as a professor”, TU Dresden designed and published a job advertisement in May 2018. The ad has now won the ZEIT Career Award in the category “Best job advertisement in science”.  In the jury’s statement of the rationale behind their decision, they point out: “Brilliant! The dominating team photo shows how important togetherness is – across cultural borders.”

The context for this ad was TU Dresden’s success in the federal and state programme for the promotion of early-career scientists: 18 Tenure-Track professorships were approved for the university. So instead of individual, rather inconspicuous job ads, TU Dresden chose to publish a highly visible collective ad.

Furthermore, another TU Dresden ad was nominated in the category “Best image advertisement in science”.

In 2016, TU Dresden won its first ZEIT Career Award in the category “Best advertisement in teaching and research” with its campaign “45,000 people, 125 nationalities, ONE university”.
