#TUDtogether through the pandemic
The corona-related lockdown continues in many areas and is strenuous and exhausting. Many colleagues are subject to taxing multiple workloads due to working from home and taking care of the children, while others lack regular social contacts. It is therefore all the more important to take care of oneself to get through this unprecedented time in good physical and mental health.
In a theme week launched under the motto #TUDgemeinsam by Directorate 9 and the Vice-Rector University Culture from March 1 to 7, 2021, TU Dresden will showcase numerous offers for optimized work from home, counseling, assistance, networking, sports, and much more that have emerged at the university over the past weeks and months.
"For many weeks, our university's employees in teaching, research and administration have been maintaining daily business operations under more difficult conditions, mostly from their home offices. In practice, the associated changes constitute an organizational balancing act between professional activities, private life and childcare for many," emphasizes Prof. Roswitha Böhm, Vice-Rector University Culture of TU Dresden. "With the theme week, we want to draw attention to the numerous support services that have been launched at TUD by our members."
The issue of the Dresden University Journal, which will be published on March 2, 2021, will highlight numerous aspects relating to offers of help, actions adapted to the Corona conditions and voluntary commitment. The information on the website designed for the theme week is even more comprehensive. The website will be updated daily from March 1. This information will also be communicated via TUD's social media channels. The current challenges of the corona pandemic are best mastered by all members of the university #TUDtogether.
