Queer Parenthood - interdisciplinary event series at the TUDFilmscreening "Sea Horse. The Dad who gave birth"
Besides the general challenges of pregnancy and parenthood, trans* parents are confronted with multiple challenges in contact with the health system, the legal system and societal expectations of gender and parenthood. On 16.05.2023 at 7pm we will be showing the documentary "Sea Horse. The Dad Who Gave Birth": The film accompanies the 30-year-old trans* man Freddy from the preparation for his pregnancy to the birth. Through intimate, emotional interviews with Freddy, his partner and medical professionals, the film explores the often unnoticed experiences of trans* parents.
The entry is free of charge and the cinema is barrierfree
