ESD project TAP-TS publishes first learning package

The Erasmus+ project TAP-TS (Teacher Academy Project-Teaching Sustainability) proudly presents the first "Learning Teaching Package" (LTP) entitled "A Sustainable Europe". This innovative teaching and learning material is now available to download free of charge from the project platform. The TAP-TS project aims to strengthen the skills of European primary and secondary teacher trainees, teacher trainers and teachers.

The LTP was developed in a fruitful collaboration between the ZLSB of TU Dresden and University College Dublin. Together with dedicated student teachers, teachers and teacher trainers, the teaching material was created as part of our teacher training events in 2023.

The introductory LTP "A Sustainable Europe" comprises four consecutive units. In the first unit, participants take an in-depth look at the fundamental values of sustainability, sustainable thinking, a sustainable future and concrete measures to promote sustainability. The second unit is dedicated to European initiatives for sustainability and explains the direct involvement of teachers and students. The third unit focuses on education for sustainability, including the teaching of values, beliefs and practices. The fourth unit deals with decoloniality, sustainability and linguistic and cultural diversity in European schools.

The activities included are versatile and are also suitable for use with secondary school students to raise awareness of sustainability. The "Learning Teaching Packages" are designed to inspire educators who want to integrate the topic of sustainability into their teaching practice. We therefore cordially invite all interested parties to discover the LTP and integrate it into their teaching practice. For a joint creation of a sustainable future for education in Europe.
