International Workshop Series 2021/22
International networking between schools and scientific institutions is more important than ever, especially under pandemic conditions. To strengthen international research cooperation and thematic networking within teacher education, the ZLSB regularly participates in international scientific conferences and conducts conferences, workshops and in-service training.
In the winter semester 2021/22, a virtual and international workshop series called THE NEW NORMAL: CHALLENGES AND CHANCES FOR SCHOOLS, TEACHERS AND STUDENTS was organised by the IMPRESS project and involved various actors in teacher education. Participants from Ireland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Israel, Jordan, South Africa, Uganda, Kenya, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, and the USA, who are part of the international ZLSB network, found a platform in the workshops to reflect on current problems and approaches to solutions together.
Workshop topics included 'Innovation through Collaboration', 'Innovative Approaches in Education: STEAM (STEM plus Art)' and the testing of new tools such as 'SELFIE for TEACHERS' and 'Working with MIRO boards'. Prominent experts such as Kati Ahl, Uwe Brandenburg, Sachiko Nakajima, members of the TU Dresden and the participants themselves acted as speakers. In a virtual get-together on 21 January 2022, participants reflected on the past two years of the IMPRESS project and discussed future collaborations.
You can find an summary of the individual contributions to the workshop series here. Future events of the IMPRESS project, such as the workshop on Teaching Sustainability, can be found on the ZLSB's events page.
