International Theatre Workshop wins 2nd place of the TUD International­ization Prize

The "International Theatre Workshop" attached to the ZLSB won 2nd place in the "Internationalization Prize" for engagement in the welcoming culture at TU Dresden

The disciplines of the participating international students, doctoral candidates and postdocs are as diverse as their countries of origin, including Egypt, Bolivia, Germany, China, Georgia, Great Britain, India, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Nigeria, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, South Korea, Ukraine, Hungary, USA. 

Every two weeks the programme includes classical drama, improvisation exercises and other acting methods that require the participants to be fully engaged emotionally, physically and mentally. 

Not only the workshop content is perceived by the participants as an enrichment of their stay in Dresden, but also the way in which it is organized. This is in the hands of the instructor Laura Park (laurapark@web.de), who was responsible for the English-language theatre at the Institute of English Studies from 1992 - 2009.  

We are very pleased that the Internationalization Prize 2020 has been awarded in appreciation and recognition of her and the participant's commitment.
