Research Seminar
The research seminar, which takes place in the students` 8th semester (summer semester), is one of the last lectures within the studies of transport engineering. Its objective is to enable students to apply and extend their scientific knowledge and their engineering methods by carrying out a specific given task. Furthermore, the students have to deal with an independent work project that comprises all facets of time management, fulfillment of milestones, self-organization, teamwork and presentation.
Each project topic is diveded into different group task, each of them dealing with several specific work packages. The work packages have to be solved independently by the students within a given timeframe - supported by the supervising scientific assistants of the chair. Additional support is provided by serveral industry partners that contribute on current, even partly controversial topics and take part in discussions with the students. Within the last years, several topics have been covered.
We would like to express our sincere thanks for the commitment of all our project partners involved in various advanced seminars! Hence we would like to point out Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS) with special thanks to Dr.Thomas Bierwagen and Dr.Ralph Leemüller for their great efforts in the past years.
