As part of 11 doctoral projects (10 state innovation grants / 1 project to combine family and academic career), individual, practice-oriented research projects of high social, economic and technological relevance in the areas of construction and the environment, mathematics and natural sciences, engineering and medicine are processed at the TU Dresden and thus qualified academic staff to gain better entry opportunities in the Saxon economy and science.
The additional funding for doctoral theses also prevents the brain drain and innovation. At the same time, the innovations emerging here are suitable for binding new specialists to the Free State of Saxony, creating new jobs and work areas, stimulating investments and strengthening the respective industry economically and making it more competitive.
The overall project is suitable due to the high degree of innovation and the long-term innovation potential of the individual doctoral theses to increase the competitiveness of Saxony as a business location and is therefore of particular public interest, as well as due to the addressing of issues and problem areas for society as a whole. The innovations resulting from the research work support the achievement of the strategic and operational goals of the innovation strategy of the Free State of Saxony.
