Kurt Beyer Prize
Each year, HOCHTIEF Infrastructure’s Southeast Germany branch honors students and early-career researchers at TU Dresden who have written particularly outstanding theses with the Kurt Beyer Prize.
The prize is awarded to one or two final papers – dissertations, Diplom or master’s theses, or comparable works – written in the field of architecture or the building industry.
Prize money
HOCHTIEF Infrastructure’s Southeast Germany branch funds this 5,000-euro prize. If the jury decides that two works are worthy of award, the winners will share the prize and receive 2,500 euros each.
Selection
The works should have been completed and successfully defended between November of the preceding year and October of the current year. The application deadline is December 31st of each year. The Deans of the Faculties of Civil Engineering and Architecture at TU Dresden are eligible to submit nominations.
The Jury
The jury comprises representatives of the donor and representatives of the Faculties of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
Award Ceremony
The Kurt Beyer Prize is presented at an award ceremony with representatives of the donor and the University Executive Board in attendance.
