Gisela and Erwin Sick Foundation University Prize for Measurement Technology
SICK AG, founded by Dr. Erwin Sick, is a manufacturer of intelligent and innovative
innovative sensors in the fields of factory, logistics and process automation. The Gisela and Erwin Sick Foundation donates three prizes each year to promote engineering and natural sciences.

When awarding the University Prize of the Gisela and Erwin Sick Foundation, particular importance is
the progress for science and the relevance of the research results for practical
research results for practical measurement tasks, particularly in process, factory or logistics automation, biomedicine and environmental protection.
Jury
The jury is made up of representatives of SICK AG and the Gisela and Erwin Sick Foundation as well as representatives of the participating faculties.
University Prize for Measurement Technology
Eligible for submission are works produced at TU Dresden that have been awarded the grades
"very good" or "excellent / distinction". The prize is endowed with 5,000 euros and is awarded for an outstanding dissertation.

Prize for Measurement and Sensor Technology of the School of Engineering Sciences
The Gisela and Erwin Siek Foundation's prizes for measurement and sensor technology are endowed with a total of 4,500 euros and are awarded for several outstanding works, such as dissertations, diploma or master's theses as well as student research projects or bachelor's theses. Eligible for submission are theses completed in the School of Engineering Sciences at TU Dresden that have been awarded the grades "very good" or "excellent / distinction".
