This deadline also applies to almost all exams in sub-disciplines, supplementary areas, and departments from other faculties. Students affected by any exceptions will be informed separately.

Based on our experience from previous semesters, we strongly urge you to complete your registrations as soon as possible after registration opens. As the deadline approaches, the number of requests increases, and so do processing times. There is often no time left for any necessary consultations with instructors or further clarifications. Additionally, any errors in course registration that you discover through the exam registration process can no longer be corrected at that point.

Exam-Related Matters
The Examination Office provides information on exam dates and is responsible for exam registration and withdrawal , withdrawing from an exam for good cause, taking exams early, or retaking exams.
Transfer of Exam Credits—from abroad, from other universities or colleges, and internally when changing degree programs or majors
If you have completed coursework at another university or college in Germany or abroad (e.g., as part of the ERASMUS program), these credits can be transferred upon request. The same applies in connection with a change of degree program or major. Your first step is always to contact the Academic Advising Office, where the equivalence of the credits will be assessed and a recommendation will be prepared for the Examination Committee.

AQUA
In the area of General Qualifications (AQua), students are primarily expected to acquire interdisciplinary skills that are equally useful in both their studies and their careers.

Theses
The Examination Office is responsible for the registration, assignment, and submission of bachelor’s, master’s, and diploma theses, as well as for their retakes and the issuance of diplomas.
Maternity Leave
The university is responsible for ensuring maternity leave provisions. The university can only effectively implement the requirements for maternity protection—or take any necessary protective measures (Sections 9 through 12 of the Maternity Protection Act, MuSchG)—if you promptly notify the staff at your Examination Office of your pregnancy.

BAföG
Every student who receives BAföG is funded for four semesters without an academic performance review. Starting in the 5th academic semester, financial aid will only be provided if the student can demonstrate that they have achieved the “usual academic performance” for each subject studied by the end of the 4th academic semester. You can obtain this proof from your Examination Office.
Miscellaneous
The Examination Office is responsible for preparing your transcript, helps you locate your academic records, and issues other certificates and official documents. The Examination Office also provides administrative support to the Examination Committees.

Examination Committees
The responsibilities of the Examination Committees include ensuring compliance with the study and examination regulations and appointing examiners. The Examination Committees handle special cases related to exams and academic achievements (e.g., recognition of academic achievements earned at other universities or abroad, exam postponements due to illness, allegations of plagiarism, and attempts at cheating). Each Examination Committee is composed of representatives from the faculty, including professors and their alternates, academic staff, and students. The composition of the Examination Committees is determined in accordance with the respective examination regulations.
