Dresden, 1882:
"Hillig & Seele" Company, the predecessor of Teekanne was founded.
Dresden, 1928:
Teekanne engineer Adolf Rambold, invents the world's first tea bag production machine.
Dresden, 1957:
Prof. Tränkner establish the studies of "Verarbeitungsmaschinen" (Processing Machines) at the Technische Hochschule Dresden, a predecessor of nowadays TU Dresden.
Dresden, 2007:
TUD Dresden University of Technology and Teekanne GmbH establish the Teekanne Foundation.
THe Teekanne Foundation promotes education and training in the field of processing machines, in particular packaging technology. The foundation aims in particular at students in the early stages of their education in order to arouse interest in the field of processing machinery.
Every year, the Teekanne Foundation awards a prize for the best results in the "Strength of Materials" exam. This exam marks the end of the basic training in mechanics at TU Dresden. The award ceremony takes place during the lecture in the same subject in the following year.
The prize recognizes the outstanding achievement of the award winner and motivates the following year's class. The award ceremony is used to arouse students' interest in training in the field of processing and packaging technology and research in this field at TU Dresden.
