Creating general conditions in which the internationalisation of teaching and research can unfold in the best way possible is one strategic goal TU Dresden has set itself in its Internationalisation Strategy “TU Dresden – Connected to the World”.
Our International Staff Training Weeks aim to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and best practices regarding the internationalisation of institutions of higher education and to inspire its participants to effectively shape this development process.
International Staff Training Week 2017
TU Dresden’s third "International Staff Training Week“ took place from June 12-16, 2017 and saw 50 non-academic staff members from international universities participating.
In five expert groups the participants and science managers from TU Dresden delved deeper into a wide variety of supporting services for their universities as well as different forms of cooperation. The expert groups were hosted by the International Office, the Career Service, the research alliance DRESDEN-concept, the Staff Unit Diversity Management, and – jointly – the European Project Center, the Transfer Office and the Project Scouts. Further topics were individual projects within the Excellence Initiative and further internationalisation measures.
As part of the extensive programme planned for the week, the participants also visited the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, one of 28 DRESDEN-concept partners, and the Cluster of Excellence Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD).
