Review of the excursion to TraceTronic and neocx on 20.06.
On 20 June, the participants of the Orientation Program (as well as students of mathematics, computer science and mechatronics) got insights into the work at TraceTronic and neocx. The company – originally a research project of the TU Dresden – is today one of the leading software testers for control units.
At the start of the excursion, the students were able to fortify themselves at the prepared snack and beverage buffet. Afterwards, four employees presented their areas of responsibility and personal careers. A number of questions from the students were also answered, e.g. about the possibilities and limits of automated software testing and whether programming is a big part of the job. And it was exciting to hear how much importance TraceTronic places on interdisciplinarity in the teams and the opinions of its own employees. Afterwards, the students were able to talk directly with the four speakers.
The excursion then continued with a guided tour of the premises – from the offices and the coffee station to the company's own beach volleyball court and the "HiL garage", where the highly automated simulation testing could be directly experienced. At the end, the students learned about internship and entry-level opportunities from a recently hired employee.
We thank TraceTronic and neocx for the great excursion and the exciting insights!
