about the "genialsozial" campaign day - Your work against poverty

The day of action ‘genialsozial - Deine Arbeit gegen Armut’ will take place on 24 June 2025. Under the patronage of Saxony's Minister President Michael Kretschmer, this is the 21st time that the Saxon Youth Foundation has organised this event. Companies, associations and other institutions can act as employers for Saxony's school pupils on this day.

Following on from the positive response in recent years, TU Dresden would also like to actively participate again and is looking for interested structural units that can offer to carry out small tasks for the pupils on this day that are often left undone in everyday life.
Young people aged 14 and over can be employed for up to 8 hours on this day and are covered by accident and liability insurance through the school during the programme. The money raised will be donated by TU Dresden from central budget funds directly to ‘genialsozial - Deine Arbeit gegen Armut’ (genialsozial - your work against poverty), thereby supporting local social projects in Saxony and worldwide.

The application process for the day of action is coordinated by Department 2. Once the feedback form has been received, the TU Dresden's job offers will be posted on the Saxon Youth Foundation's portal at: https://mitmachen.genialsozial.de/.
The applications then received from the students are processed in Unit 2.4, Team 2.4.4. and then forwarded to the structural units. All positions offered are also available to interested employee children!

Participants are covered by accident and liability insurance through the school during the programme, as this day is treated as teaching in another form. A prepared work agreement will be handed out to the pupils by the school. This is processed in Department 2, Unit 2.4, Team 2.4.4. and forwarded as a copy to the respective supervisors. The structural units will then provide a brief instruction/ data protection declaration; you will receive the necessary documents for this in a timely manner.
