Information obligations according to the EU General Data Protection Regulation
An application, which involves sending the necessary documents for the application procedure, is voluntary. The application documents will be processed by TU Dresden – in this case by the unit offering the position – exclusively for the purposes of the application and will not be passed on to third parties, unless prior consent has been expressly given to do so in each case. The application documents are stored for 6 months after the end of the recruitment process in order to protect the applicants' rights of objection and are then deleted or destroyed in accordance with data protection regulations. The consent may be refused or revoked with regard to future arrangements without giving reasons. Should this be the case, the application cannot be processed by TU Dresden and can no longer be considered in the application procedure. Every applicant has the right to receive information on the data processed in regard to their person as well as the possible recipients of the transmitted data. A reply must be given within four weeks of receipt of the request for information. Furthermore, every applicant has the right to contact the Data Protection Officer of TU Dresden or the Supervisory Authority for Data Protection – in this case the Saxon Data Protection Commissioner – at any time.
