"The Dresden University of Technology under National Socialism. Transformations of knowledge and science in the 20th century"
To mark the 200th anniversary of its founding, TU Dresden is researching its history during the National Socialist era under the auspices of the Prorectorate for University Culture. How did the Technische Hochschule Dresden change and position itself during this time? Where and how did the university and its scientists cooperate with or oppose the Nazis? What transformations of knowledge and science took place during this time? Professors from the Institute of History and representatives of the University Archives, the Office for Academic Heritage, Scientific and Art Collections and the SLUB Dresden have been developing a research project since 2021, the associated Research Training Group of which began its work in 2024.

Presentation of the project by Prof. Dr. Roswitha Böhm, Vice-Rector University Culture, and Prof. Dr. Dagmar Ellerbrock, Chair of Modern and Contemporary History, as well as speakers of the research project and Research Training Group.
