Cooperation with Staatsschauspiel Dresden - Theatre project on East German migration history
The Bürgerbühne of the Staatsschauspiel Dresden will organise a B:Club next year in cooperation with the research project "MigOst - Ostdeutsche Migrationsgesellschaft selbst erzählen", a project at the Centre for Integration Studies at the TU Dresden. Under the title "UN(D)SICHTBAR", participants will meet every fortnight from January and work on a play until the end of June.
Everything will revolve around the (own) experiences that migrants and people of colour have in East Germany. The "MigOst" team will support the group with material from storytelling cafés and biographical interviews that have been conducted in Dresden since 2021. The experienced theatre and film director Anis Hamdoun will lead the group.
At the end of the season, the group will then present their results in a work show on a stage of the Staatsschauspiel Dresden or at a suitable location in the city. And if it goes really well, the production will be taken up for its own production as part of the regular season of the Staatsschauspiel Dresden!
Anyone over the age of 16 can take part; registrations are still possible until 18.09.2022 at . |
Participation costs €60.00, reduced €40.00 including joint visits to performances. Scholarships are easily available, ALG II recipients and asylum seekers are exempt.
On 06.09.2022 at 06.00 pm, director Anis Hamdoun will present the project at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden (Kleines Haus Mitte).
