We are pleased to invite you to this year's annual congress of the WGP (Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Produktionstechnik e.V. – Scientific Society for Production Engineering) under the guiding theme "Production at the Frontier – Shaping Change through Innovation" from 28.09.2021 to 01.10.2021 in Dresden.

The WGP annual congress sees itself as a platform for young scientists from institutes and industry who present their results after a peer review process and publish them as a reviewed paper in a conference volume. The scientific quality of the papers is ensured by the WGP professors. During the annual congress, an outstanding young scientist will also be awarded the Otto Kienzle Commemorative Medal. Last but not least, the congress is intended to provide a framework for intergenerational exchange. It takes place every year in autumn at changing WGP locations.

The WGP Annual Congress traditionally begins with an evening Welcome Reception on September 28, 2021 at the TU Dresden and concludes on October 1, 2021 with an excursion to a high-tech manufacturing company in the region. The conference venue is the Messe Dresden.
