Extension of ZIH User Accounts
Students
Data of students are transmitted daily from the students administration and assigned to the according ZIH user accouts. When students re-register for a new semester, their ZIH user accounts will be extended as well. If problems occur during this process, notifications will be sent by e-mail. In all other cases applications for extensions are not necessary. The accounts will be automatically extended until the student's exmatriculation.
Staff Members
Data of staff members are transmitted daily from the personnel administration and assigned to the according ZIH user accounts. When staff members extend their contracts or switch within the TU Dresden, their ZIH user accounts will be extended as well. If problems occur during this process, notifications will be sent by e-mail. In all other cases applications for extensions are not necessary. The accounts will be automatically extended until the member's contract expires.
Guests
ZIH user accounts for guests are only created after an application and own a fixed expiration date. Before an account expires, the user will be informed via e-mail. Affected users can extend their user accounts via Self Service Portal . The application has to be supported by a staff member of TU Dresden which has been specified as a contact person.
Functional Logins
The ZIH user accounts of functional logins will receive a notification via email before expiration. The affected users can extend the ZIH user account via the self-service portal. The request must be endorsed by a TU Dresden employee named as contact person.
