Registration for theses, issue of topics
Transport Economics
Registration procedure
Students of the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Transport Economics and the Master's degree program in Transportation Economics apply for the admission documents/registration form at the Examination Office. To do this, they must inform the Examination Office of the German and English title of the thesis, the names of the two examiners and whether the thesis is to be written in German or another language. Furthermore, they submit the application for "Assignment of subjects/modules on the certificate", see below. Forms. After receipt of the admission documents, the topic is agreed with the supervisor. The Bachelor's/Master's thesis must be submitted to the Examination Office within one week of the university lecturer signing the application for admission. The time of issue will be recorded.
Theses must be handed in to the Examination Office for Transportation Sciences by 3 p.m. on the scheduled return date if possible. For submission on dates outside the official office hours, please make an appointment. If the thesis is submitted by post, the date of receipt at TU Dresden is decisive.
Master's degree program Transportation economics
§ Section 25 (3) MPO Subject-related requirements: 75 credit points must be achieved and the module examination Research Seminar must be passed
§ 27 MPO Processing time 20 weeks, a total of 27 credit points are acquired.
- An extension of the processing time by 4 weeks by the Examination Committee is possible, please submit the application to the Examination Office in good time. In the event of illness, the original proof of illness(medical certificate) must be submitted to the Examination Office immediately; the processing time will be extended by the days of illness.
Transport Engineering (VIW, BSI, LuLo, EVS, ATL)
Registration procedure
Students apply for admission/registration for the final thesis approximately two weeks before the start of the processing period, if possible by e-mail to the Examination Office; the names of the two examiners and the supervisor and the planned title of the thesis must be communicated to the Examination Office. Please submit the form for the assignment of modules for the compulsory elective area and the designation of additional module examinations (see forms below) for so-called account clarification when you apply for admission to the thesis or when you collect the assignment from the Examination Office. After checking the admission requirements, you will receive a registration form by e-mail. On this form, the university lecturer/examiner must confirm the proposed topic and the assumption of supervision of the thesis. The registration form must be submitted to the Examination Office no later than the day on which the assignment and user agreement are issued. The time of issue of the topic and submission of the thesis will be recorded.

Master's degree program in Aviation and Logistics (LuLo)
Subject requirement: § 23 Para. 2 MPO: 75 credit points must be achieved.
Completion time: § 25 MPO: 21 weeks, a total of 30 credit points are earned.
- If the Master's thesis is to be written in English or another language, a written application must be submitted to the Examination Committee in accordance with Section 18 (6) MPO before work begins. Please submit the application with the approval of the supervisor/examiner to the Examination Office in good time.
- An extension of the processing time by two months by the Examination Committee is possible, please submit the application to the Examination Office at least two weeks before the submission date. In the event of illness, the original proof of illness(medical certificate) must be submitted to the Examination Office immediately; the processing time will be extended by the days of illness. Please note that as of 01.02.203, a certificate of incapacity to work will no longer be sufficient according to the decision of the Examination Committee on 31.01.2023.

Master's degree program Air Transport and Logistics (ATL)
Subject requirement: § 31 MPO: 75 credit points must be achieved.
Completion time: § 34 MPO: 19 weeks, a total of 30 credit points must be earned.
- An extension of the processing time by a maximum of half of the processing time by the Examination Committee is possible, please submit the application to the Examination Office at least two weeks before the submission date. In the event of illness, the original proof of illness(medical certificate) must be submitted to the Examination Office immediately; the processing time will be extended by the days of illness.

Subject-specific prerequisite
- Section 23 (2) MPO 2019 and Section 31 MPO 2023: 75 credit points must be achieved.
Completion time
- Section 25 MPO: 21 weeks, a total of 30 credit points are earned
- § 34 para. 1 MPO 2023: 19 weeks, 25 credit points are acquired
Language
If the Master's thesis is to be written in English or another language, a written application must be submitted to the Examination Committee in accordance with Section 18 (6) MPO 2019 or Section 26 (5) MPO 2023 before work begins. Please submit the application with the approval of the supervisor/examiner to the Examination Office in good time.
Extension of the processing time
- Section 25 (1) MPO 2019: two months
- Section 34 (1) MPO 2023: maximum half of the processing time (9.5 weeks)
- Approval by the Examination Committee required; please submit the application to the Examination Office at least two weeks before the submission date.
Extension of the processing time in case of illness
The original proof of illness(medical certificate) must be submitted to the Examination Office immediately; the processing time is extended by the days of illness. Please note, as of 01.02.203, a certificate of incapacity for work is no longer sufficient according to the decision of the Examination Committee on 31.01.2023.

"This work is based on confidential, internal data of company XX and for this reason may not be viewed by third parties - with the exception of the academic supervisors or the Research Associates involved in the examination procedure, the examiners, the members of the Examination Committee and the university staff involved in handling the examination procedure and, in the event of a legal dispute, the legal department of TU Dresden, lawyers involved in this, experts and courts - without the consent of the author and company XX".
